William H. Jarrard, CPA Principal Bill Jarrard offers a breadth of public accounting and corporate financial experience, including experience with a Big Four accounting firm and working with Fortune 500 level corporations. As a principal in Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, Jarrard also offers expertise in 1031 tax-free exchanges. Prior to forming Jarrard, Nowell & Russell, LLC, Jarrard served as chief financial officer for Young Pecan Company, the world’s largest producer of pecans, with annual sales exceeding $100 million. He also has experience as vice president and controller at Cameron & Barkley Company. Additionally, Jarrard served as director of retail accounting for Ahold Financial Services and as assistant controller for BILO, Inc. (a subsidiary of Ahold USA). In his position with Ahold, Jarrard directed the consolidation of finance functions for five separate grocery chains. Under the new shared accounting center, he supervised the weekly financial reporting for over 1,000 grocery stores. While at BILO, he managed payroll, fixed assets and accounts receivable for the corporation. Jarrard also has served as senior auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick and was involved with the Initial Public Offering of Moovies, Inc., which raised over $25 million. He has extensive experience with corporate auditing, financial management and due diligence. A certified public accountant, Jarrard earned a masters of professional accountancy from Clemson University and a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA).
